I have enjoyed my painting experiences of late and have made a new pact with myself – When I visit a new location, I must paint the scene (that I am so excited about!!) the following week. This way, I still have a good memory of how I felt there, before Mr Time makes me forget all about it!
I have been running my brushes across landscapes of late and hope to do some more. I am a great lover of the Blue Mountains (and who wouldn’t be!)
I have had some great conversations with buyers of my work – such as my buyer from the Royal Easter Show this year. It is great to hear why they connected with the story of the painting and in fact, gives the painting one half of its meaning.
I was also fortunate to be merited a VERY HIGHLY COMMENDED award at the Drummoyne Open Art Awards, that are currently running in inner city. The award was for my painting of the Canada Bay district, titled ‘Lyons Rd, Drummoyne’.
Next up, is my delivery for the Hunters Hill show. Cross your fingers that I get in this year!
Until next time 🙂
