May was a busy (and pleasing) month!
Back in January, I received a phone call from 2 women wanting to use my artwork as a wallpaper feature wall. They were part of a TV show and it was not hard to guess they were contestants on HOUSE RULES on Channel 7.
They initially has asked if I could go and paint one of my paintings on a feature wall. I advised them, that unfortunately this can not be done with watercolour (as they wanted a watercolour work). So instead, I provided them with an image that they could use to blow up and make into a wallpaper.
This episode was aired on the 21st-22nd May, revealing to the NSW contestants my Harbour Bridge Sunset painting, which featured in their new Lounge Room.
On another note, I was accepted as one of the 350 finalists at this months Hunters Hill Art Exhibition. 1000 artworks are submitted, so I was very pleased I made the shortlist.
I later found out that I also received a ‘Highly Commended’ award for one of my pieces and also sold two of my works during the show 🙂
And finally, I had success at the Oyster Bay Art & Craft Festival, selling one of my cafe street scenes.
I had a busy month and now can collect myself (and paint a lot more!) in the 2 month break until my next exhibition.
